In 2011, a no-insulation (NI) winding technique was first proposed. Rare-Earth Barium Copper Oxide (REBCO) pancake coils using the NI are promising to generate an ultrahigh magnetic field, because drastically enhances thermal stability. When local hot spot appears on turn of REBCO coil, enforced current can bypass into adjacent turns suppress Joule heat generation. Recently, different types enhance stability by escaping flow from have been researched and developed. A few years ago, single coil whose upper surface coated with conductive epoxy resin proposed as one kind techniques.
